We were delighted to be the local Charity Partner for the Gauntlet Games held in Handcross, near Crawley, on Saturday 6th August.

The Games are a fun challenge event, where you can fight with Gladiators along the 5km course, as well as bounce and slide your way through all kinds of crazy obstacles.

We had a team taking part in the challenge, helping raise much needed funds. The group of friends, led by Leia Austin, decided to get involved “because it looked like such a fun challenge! It was a personal goal for me to complete it and all our team wanted to raise money for Home-Start, to help support local children,” explained Leia.

We are also grateful to everyone who was part of our team of volunteers who were helping on the day. They did anything from being Gladiators on the course, to helping people slide down the “Flume of doom” or handing out finishing medals.

Thanks to the fundraising effort of Leia and her team, as well as donations made by people who came along to the Games, we are pleased to announce that a total of just over £1,500 has been raised so far.
