Our 2016 Snowflake Appeal has now launched!
We are asking people throughout Crawley, Horsham and Mid-Sussex to ‘Help a Local Child’ and make sure we can be there for the vulnerable children in our area who need our help in the future.
Not all local children are lucky enough to have a happy start in life and receiving support for the Appeal will mean we can give more of these children the help they need for a brighter future.
Children like Mia*, who at nearly 3 years old had rarely met or played with other children. Her mum’s mental health issues meant they hardly went out, home life was volatile, with no routine. And with another baby on the way, the family were sliding into debt.
Last year 436 vulnerable local children, including Mia, received our support because they were living in families struggling with issues such as poverty, mental health problems, or domestic abuse.
But there were more local children experiencing hardship or tragedy and in need of help who we had to turn away because of lack of funds.
