Click here to make a referral We welcome referrals of families needing support from a wide range of agencies, including health visitors, GPs and social workers, as well as from families themselves.

If you would like to ask for Home-Start support for your own family, the form to be completed and sent to us can be found on the Support at home or Twins and triplets pages.

We help families with children under the age of five, through a combination of home visiting support and family groups.

Home Visiting

We match the needs of the family with a trained volunteer who provides emotional and practical support.  Support is free, confidential and non-judgemental.  Home Visiting volunteers call by every week, for a couple of hours, for as long as the family needs support, or until the youngest child turns five or starts full-time education.

If you are working with a family who you think could benefit from the support of Home-Start you should:

Once we have received a referral form, we will be in touch to let you know that it has been received. One of our co-ordinators will then contact the family in order to tell them more about Home-Start and how we might be able to help. When appropriate, the co-ordinator will arrange to visit the family in their home to discuss their support needs. We will make sure that the referrer is informed at every stage, including when the family is matched with a volunteer, and at each of their reviews and, finally, at the end of support.

Twiglets Family Groups

‘Twiglets’ are our Group meetings for families that have Twins or Multiple birth children. The weekly term-time meetings are currently held in Crawley and Horsham. They provides children with the opportunity for play and interaction with other children and gives parents a place to meet with other adults for peer support in a relaxed and friendly environment.

If you are working with a family that has, or is expecting, multiple birth children and you believe could benefit from attending Twiglets, you can:

Once we have received a referral form, our Family Group Worker will be in touch with the family in order to tell them more and invite them to come along to a Twiglets session.
