Romesh Ranganathan’s comedy show at The Hawth raises a whopping £13,000 for Home-Start CHAMS

We are thrilled to announce that the proceeds of the ‘Romesh and Friends’ comedy show held at The Hawth on Tuesday, 28th March in support of vulnerable children and families in Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex has raised Home-Start CHAMS an incredible £13,000!

Local comedian Romesh was joined by Kevin Bridges, Seann Walsh, Phil Jerrod, Tom Allen, Suzi Ruffell, Jake Lambert, Maff Brown and Mike Wilmot for the evening. The star studded line-up raised over £12,000 for us and a bucket collection at the end of the show raised an additional £1000 from a generous audience.

Romesh, a long term supporter of Home-Start CHAMS said “Home-Start volunteers do an amazing job helping local families. I’m happy to support such a great cause in my home town.”

Last year Home-Start CHAMS supported 436 local children, with their team of trained Home Visiting volunteers. “We are so grateful to Romesh for his continued support of our work, and the show was absolutely brilliant,” said Fundraising and Marketing Manager Jacquie Thomas. “We are increasingly reliant on community fundraising so events like this are vital to enable our ongoing support service.”

Our next training course for Home Visiting volunteers starts on Tuesday 12th September; for more information on this or other opportunities to support the work we do, you can call us on 01293 416327.
