In light of the rapidly developing situation locally and globally with Covid-19, Home-Start CHAMS has taken the decision to suspend all of their groups, events, training and family support visits while the current guidelines around the CoronaVirus outbreak are in place. This is inclusive of their Super Hero Fun Run due to take place on April 11th at Tilgate Park.
Liz Roe, Scheme Manager at Home-Start CHAMS said “We are closely monitoring the Guidelines and reviewing the situation on an ongoing basis. During this uncertain time, we want to keep the safety of all our families, volunteers, supporters, and staff at the forefront of our minds.
However, we recognise that many rely on our support service and we want to try to continue to support our families in whatever way we can. This will involve keeping in touch via text, phone, email – and may include dropping off resources to help keep the children occupied or finding essential supplies.
This is going to be a real challenge for everyone all as we explore how we can best continue to offer some support to people.
All of our supported families, volunteers and event attendees will be regularly kept up to date with how we move forwards.”
Please be aware that as from 18th March staff will be working from home as much as possible and the office will be manned on a limited basis. If you need to contact us please do via firstname.lastname@example.org which will be checked on a regular basis, or if you have staff members work mobile numbers please feel free to use them.
